What the guide form collects
The form asks for:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Which guide you requested
- The exact consent sentence you checked, and the time you checked it
- Whether you also checked the separate newsletter box
- A hashed version of the network address, used only to slow repeated submissions
The form does not ask for a property address, a story of the deal, or documents. Please do not type confidential facts into it. People who send information to a lawyer can be treated as prospective clients, so the form stays limited to a name and an email address.
The transfer tax calculator runs in your browser. It does not ask for your name and it does not save the numbers you type.
Why we collect it
We use the name and email to send the guide you asked for. We use the newsletter box only if you check it. If you leave that box empty, we do not add you to a newsletter. We keep the consent wording and the time so we can show what you agreed to.
Where it is stored
The guide request is stored in a Supabase database controlled by the firm. Row level security is on. The public website key cannot read the table. The server saves the row with a secret key that is not sent to your browser. We do not put the guide file in a public folder. The PDF is created when you open your download link.
The download link lasts 14 days. After that, ask for the guide again if you still want it.
Email delivery through Resend
We send the guide message through Resend, an email delivery service. Resend receives your email address, your name, and the message, including the download link, so it can deliver the email. The message includes the firm's mailing address. If email is not set up on a copy of this site, the request can still be saved and the download link is shown on the confirmation screen.
Unsubscribe
Every guide email includes an unsubscribe link. The link opens a page on this site. When you confirm, we record the time on your row and we will not send occasional updates to that address. We apply that request right away, and in all cases within 10 business days. The guide you already requested can still be opened from its download link until that link expires.
You can also email Debbie.schwab@confluencecounsel.law and ask us to delete the guide request. Tell us the email address you used. We will remove the row from the guide table.
What we do not do
We do not sell guide sign-ups. We do not send a newsletter to someone who left the newsletter box unchecked. We do not use a guide download as a reason to call you.
This page describes the firm's own practice. It is not a statement about which privacy statute applies to a law firm of this size. If you want your information deleted, email the office and ask.
